Three plans. Same protection.

All three plans cover every workload we back up. They differ only on how far back you can go: six months on Essential, a full year on Professional for everyday protection, or seven years on Compliance for the clients whose retention is a legal obligation.

Detection is a default, never a lock. Switch any time. We bill in your chosen currency, so the price you see here is the price on the invoice; all prices exclude tax.

What “unlimited” means here

Every backup vendor advertising unlimited storage has a fair use policy behind it. Most put the number in a legal page you find after the invoice. Ours is here, on the page with the price on it.

  • Each seat contributes to a pool shared across that tenant: 75 GB per seat on Essential, 150 GB on Professional, 250 GB on Compliance. A 40-seat Professional tenant has 6.0 TB.
  • Pooling is within one Microsoft 365 tenant only. We never aggregate across the other tenants you manage, so one heavy client can never drain another’s allowance.
  • If a tenant approaches its pool, we tell you before anything is charged. Storage then expands in 100 GB blocks at $12.00 per TB per month.
  • We do not bill retroactively for past usage, and we do not reserve the right to decide the limit at our own discretion after the fact.
  • These prices assume our standard storage in Finland, which is how they stay this low. Backups can be held in Azure, Wasabi or another provider you name where policy or a regulator requires it, priced separately. Contact us for details.
  • Leaver and unlicensed shared mailboxes stay inside the pool. They don’t become separately chargeable storage the day someone hands their laptop back.

Straight answers

What counts as a seat?

A licensed user. Their mailbox, their in-place archive and their OneDrive are one seat between them, not three. SharePoint document libraries and Microsoft 365 Groups sites are covered for any tenant with at least one paid seat, at no additional charge. Shared mailboxes with no licensed user are free.

Which plan do I need?

Professional for most clients. A full year of history is the right default for everyday protection against ransomware, accidental deletion and departing staff. Essential is the entry plan when six months of history is enough. Compliance is for a client with a multi-year retention obligation: UK statutory record-keeping is commonly six years, so seven years clears it with room to spare.

What is the difference between snapshots and version history?

Every plan takes full point-in-time snapshots, so you can restore any item as it stood at any backup inside your retention window. The Compliance plan adds two things on top: the intermediate version history of files and list items (every edit between snapshots), and full-fidelity restore, which puts SharePoint content back whole, keeping its original authorship, timestamps, attachments and version history rather than re-creating it under our service account. That extra history is a real storage cost, since a document edited fifty times is fifty distinct contents, which is why it sits on the Compliance tier.

How does pooled storage work?

Each licence adds its allowance to a pool shared across that tenant. Light users and heavy users balance out: what matters is the total, not any single mailbox. See what “unlimited” means above for the numbers.

Can I mix plans across my clients?

Yes. The plan is set per tenant, so a client with a legal retention obligation can sit on Compliance while the rest of your book runs on Professional or Essential. Storage pools per tenant either way.

What if I need longer than seven years?

Talk to us. Compliance already holds seven years; beyond that, indefinite retention isn’t something we’ll sell from a pricing page. Under UK GDPR, keeping personal data with no defined end date needs a reason, and that reason belongs in a written agreement rather than a checkbox.

What does “cancel anytime” actually mean?

Monthly billing, no minimum term. Cancel and you stop being billed; your backups remain restorable until the end of the paid period, and you can export your data before you leave. During the trial you pay nothing at all, and you can walk away before being charged.

Is tax included?

No. All figures exclude tax. UK VAT at 20% is added at checkout; EU and US taxes are applied per local rules. The price you see here is the price before tax, always.
